Our team is made up of dedicated people convinced of the value of sport as a tool for social change. The core of our team consists of volunteers from different backgrounds: sports, education, health, integration, habitability, communication or administration. We cooperate with sports stars that help to bring attention to our work.

HISTORY

The origin of our entity is in Zambia, in 1997, thanks to the previous work of its founding team, leaded by Carlos de Cárcer, in a program of integration of orphaned girls for HIV-AIDS, using sports daily as a playful and educational tool in the community.

In 1999, we registered the organisation in Spain and soon began to carry out our first development cooperation programs in Sierra Leone and Nicaragua. Gradually, professionals from the field of international cooperation, sports and education joined the organisation.

Thanks to the support of many people and institutions, Red Deporte has made in these years a significant contribution to strengthen as an instrument of social change, in more than 20 countries; remaining the best pages yet to be written.
